RISE project will be showcased at EUniverse Final Conference in Granada | June 17, 3 pm (CEST)

The RISE project will join online the Final Conference of the EUniverse project, “EU Values at the Core of Integration, Education, and Innovation”, taking place in Granada, Spain from 16 to 18 June 2026.

RISE will contribute to the session “Forum – Parallel Sessions Round 1”, scheduled for Wednesday, 17 June, from 3:00 to 4:30 pm (CEST), within the panel “Governance, Internationalisation and Values in Higher Education.” The project will be represented by Silvia Marchionne, RISE Project Coordinator and UNIMED Senior Project Manager, together with Abdullah Omar Yassen, Director of International Relations Office at Erbil Polytechnic University.

During the panel, RISE representatives will examine how values-based governance can be operationalised in Higher Education through networked collaboration, using the RISE Erasmus+ project in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq as a case study. It shows how internationalisation and employability can be strategically integrated through a Synergic Roadmap that promotes cooperation, inclusion, accountability, and shared responsibility. The study highlights the role of organisational learning and multi-actor engagement in supporting sustainable, context-sensitive higher education reform.

By participating in the EUniverse Final Conference, RISE will engage with the project’s reflection on how European values, civic engagement, and inclusive internationalisation can support student integration and institutional transformation in higher education.

We invite all interested participants to join the session online and take part in the discussion.
