The sixth and last webinar of the RISE MasterClass “University–Business Collaboration” will take place on 12 November 2025, from 3.00 to 4.30 PM (CET) / 5.00 to 6.30 PM (Erbil time), and will focus on how universities can turn research into real-world impact through strategic partnerships with industry. The session will be led by Begoña Alonso Estévez from the Technology Transfer Office (OTRI) of the University of Murcia (UMU).
Drawing on UMU’s experience, the webinar will walk participants through how a technology transfer office works in practice: from spotting research results with transfer potential and protecting them through intellectual property, to creating the right conditions for dialogue between researchers and companies. The session will also look at the funding side of collaboration, presenting tools and channels to identify opportunities in competitive calls, European programmes and regional innovation schemes.

The event will not be open to the general public.
RISE project at Global Careers Month 2025
This webinar is also registered within the second Global Careers Month (November 2025), an initiative of the Inter-Agency Career Guidance Working Group (Cedefop, European Commission, ETF, ILO, OECD, UNESCO, and World Bank), organised in partnership with IAEVG and national and regional associations active in career development.
By contributing to Global Careers Month, the RISE MasterClass underlines the central role of university–business collaboration in skills development, employability, and career opportunities for both young people and adults.
